Iligan booked first win at the expense of home team Pagadian

Iligan Archangels squeaks a thriller against Pagadian Explorers to avoid a second straight loss to open the conference, 92-90.

Jack Hoyohoy erupted for a near double-double performance of 30 points and 9 rebounds. Together with Lugie Cuyos, who tallied 18 points and Arche Salo with 10, the Archangels bounced back from the opening day loss against Basilan.

Pagadian is led by Niño Ibañez who scored 16 points. The Explorers came up short to snatch the lead even after Glenn Acaylar and Judel Ric Fuentes sinked back to back threes with 3 seconds remaining on the clock.

Iligan Archangels and Pagadian Explorers are now tied in the standings with both 1-1.
